Question 1

What grades and subjects does Gia tutor?

Accepted Answer

Gia tutors students in grades K–6 across Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Test Preparation. Every lesson plan is built around your child's specific needs.

Question 2

What is the Orton-Gillingham method and how does Gia use it?

Accepted Answer

Orton-Gillingham is a structured, research-backed approach that breaks reading and writing into small, manageable pieces — sounds, letters, and patterns. It's especially effective for kids who struggle with reading, including those with dyslexia. Gia uses an OG assessment at the start of every reading engagement to pinpoint exactly where your child is and builds from there.

Question 3

How do tutoring sessions work and how long are they?

Accepted Answer

Every new student starts with a 40–45 minute assessment so sessions are never guesswork. After that, regular sessions run 50–60 minutes. Gia brings her own materials, uses IXL resources, and builds a custom plan around your child. Pricing depends on subjects and frequency — reach out for a free intro call.

Question 4

Does Gia offer in-person and virtual sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Gia offers both in-person tutoring in the Myrtle Beach area and virtual sessions. Flexible scheduling is available including evenings and weekends. Getting started is easy — just book a free 15-minute intro call with no commitment.

Question 5

What are Gia's qualifications for childcare and babysitting?

Accepted Answer

Gia is a K–12 certified educator with CPR certification and 3 years of daycare experience working with infants and pre-K students. She works with children from newborn through teens and can handle light household duties if needed.
